Explore one of Mexico’s largest protected areas. The Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve (meaning where the sky is born) has been an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. Come with us in a boat ride and see this amazing sanctuary famous for its great diversity of plants and animals that live in the savannas, dunes, wetlands, mangroves, and lagoons of the reserve.
With luck, we will also spot the local dolphins swimming in the wild and some of the different sea turtle species that inhabit the bay. All told, the park is home to nearly 350 species of birds, and over 100 different species of mammals – a true birding paradise. Visiting Boca Paila Lagoon and Ascension Bay with a guide, snorkeling and searching for marine life along the way. Plus, a Caribbean lunch at Punta Allen—located at the very end of the Boca Paila Peninsula—is included
